Recreated my iconic lunch from Mater Dei School today. 


Thai Beef Jerky with Sticky Rice ข้าวเหนียวเนื้อ

35 Minutes

INGREDIENTS


☐ 500 g Beef, cut into very thin strips


The marinade 


☐ 1/2 teaspoon of salt 

☐ 1/2 tsp of pepper 

☐ 1 tbsp of soy sauce 

☐ 1 tbsp of Maggi sauce 

☐ 1 + 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce 

☐ 1 tbsp of sesame oil 

☐ 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar 

☐ A pinch of garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

- In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients well.
- Add the beef and mix well until the beef absorbs all the marinade sauce.
- Cover and let stand in the fridge for at least 2 hours. I usually refrigirate overnight.
- Sun-dry the meat for 2 to 6 hours using racks. Don't forget to cover with a thin cloth.
- Finally, heat the oil in a frying pan until you get a light brown color.
- Eat with sticky rice!
